Synthesis XD took place in January 2023
5 friends travelled from all over the world to a small village at the edge of the Czeck border, to spend a month full of adventure, art, exploration, frustration, communication and improvisation.
I came expecting to bring change, and ended up changed myself. I think we made ripples in our own way.

Jindřichovice pod Smrkem: The village at the end of the world
A small town in the north of the Czech Republic, not known by many but loved deeply by a few.
Right beside the polish border, filled with windmills, broken-down houses, community spaces, forest trails, farm fields, dreamy country roads, and countless cold, old houses that many brave people choose to make their homes in.
Free Haven House: Our home for a month
Hosted and run by Michael Kandler, Free Haven House is both a place and an active community where artists, free-thinkers and activists come together.
A renovated barn with a kitchen, dining area and open multipurpose space hosts many seminars, workshops, projects and get-togethers.
Here we stayed for 5 weeks, met so many amazing people and are ever grateful to Michael and Ifka for giving us a home and so much support and warmth.
